ARTHRITIS

Arthritis is technically a general term that refers to inflammation or pain of the joints, but there are actually 100 different kinds of arthritis and related conditions - many of which share similar symptoms.

The two most common kinds of arthritis are Rheumatoid Arthritis in which the person’s body attacks their joints causing inflammation, and Osteoarthritis which is a degenerative disease that affects joint cartilage and bones causing pain and stiffness.

Arthritis is currently the leading cause of disability in America and effects those of all ages, sexes, and races, totally roughly 54 million people and 300,000 children who experience some sort of arthritis symptom. It occurs more commonly in women than in men and often occurs along with other chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease and obesity.  We are strong advocates of the ability for CBD to help with the painful symptoms of arthritis.

How CBD Can Help with Arthritis

head-state-imgpngPatients suffering from arthritic pain have inflamed tissue in their CB2 receptors that run throughout the body.  Studies have shown that CBD may directly activate those pathways, allowing relief from pain caused by the inflamed tissue.

CBD users have stated relief associated with joint inflammation that suffer from all different forms of arthritis including Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis.  When you take CBD, it will attach to the affected nerve pain receptor and reduce the pain that you feel.

"I have experimented with CBD to address chronic anxiety and to reduce cravings associated with drug use disorder. I am typically skeptical of natural remedies, yet was shocked when I found that CBD offered noticeable relief from both. Now, I use CBD sublingually on a regular basis and supplement with vape and edibles as needed. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm a true believer."

"I'm typically skeptical of natural remedies but when someone gave me CBD as a gift, I didn't think it hurt to try. I am in good health generally so wasn't sure how it would manifest, but I've found it to help with my sleep considerably. I have had the deepest and most restful sleep, but with no lagging drowsiness and am able to get up on a dime. CBD is now an integral part of my health regimen."

    FAQ’S

Will I become addicted to CBD?

In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential. This has been recognized by the DEA and the reason we are seeing increased research and interest in the chemical compound.

    Does CBD have any interactions?

CBD is generally well tolerated with a good health profile. Reported adverse effects may be as a result of drug interactions between CBD and patients’ existing medications. Please consult with your physician before taking CBD.

CBD inhibits the cytochrome p450 enzyme which helps to metabolize many drugs. Compounds in grapefruit inhibit the same enzyme group which is why physicians advise patients not to eat grapefruit shortly before or after taking medication. The effect CBD may have by inhibiting the cytochrome p450 enzyme is it may increase or decrease the effects of other drugs. Please consult with your doctor before using CBD.

What are the benefits of CBD?

CBD has been demonstrated as an effective treatment of epilepsy in several clinical trials, with one pure CBD product (Epidiolex®) currently in Phase III trials. There is also preliminary evidence that CBD may be a useful treatment for a number of other medical conditions.
